Dej zavrt čas nazaj.

''Vstanite klinci v suženjstvu zakleti in pljunite resnici v oči, nimate kaj zgubit saj lopovi obrali so vas že do kosti.
Zato takoj dam vse, kar življenje mi greni, mojo zadnjo plat poljubite lahk vsi.
Hijene, pizde, lopovi, nenasitni, brez vesti, poberite se mi s poti še ta moment. Politik levo, politik desno, nihče nas več ne jemlje resno, v rit si vtaknite še zadnji cent.''

Artist.

Well I'm burried to my neck in studying, and the only break I took in between was to watch the Ghost asylum. I am not excatly sure why I do that. Despite being a none believer it scares the living hell out of me. And I could rant about the protests in America the other day. How amazing I really think they are. How happy I am seeing all my favorite band boys supporting women in their march and I will trust me on that. I will give you a full report on Friday, as for today, my arm is a little ''broken'' it's a little late and I'm a bit too tired, I want to give that post justice and it wouldn't get it today, so instead let's call today ''artistic monday'' and enjoy some of my work instead...
Here's a little work in progress of my last two pieces...
Drawing in color is still quite a challenge for me *don't I just love those* but I've come a long way till now. It's not perfect of course but there is always room to improve. I do in fact like the way these two turned out...
Tools I used were standard Faber Castell color pencils, Kohinoor graphite pencils from 2B to 6B, Derwent blender and shading tool, Faber Castells pencil eraser, Pilots white gel ink pen, over 20 hours of work for each and various reference photos. Despite being far from perfect I am seeing improvment in my shading and blending colors and I'm damn proud of that.
+ Bonus, a doodle of Iron Man...
Gonna be a long week for me, work, study, work and more studying. Sigh. Take care y'all and make sure to come back on Friday when I actually talk about something that matters for a change.

The sound of silence.

''She's sundress cotton, he's grease on a Carhartt shirt, she's a candle in the wind, he's a light it up and let it burn and everytime she's with him, all she wants to do is kiss him, starts thinking maybe she can fix him, he's thinking he's love to let her try.''
What do you do when you don't know what to do? When you're completly lost looking for someone or something to tell you where to go, what to do...do you look for a sign or something? Do you turn to people you trust? Do you gaze at the stars wondering about life out there? Wondering about your life, where you might end up, wondering what the future holds for you...and if you do...what do you imagine? What are your desires? What do you see? But these are the wrong questions aren't they? I think the question I should be asking is something along the lines of,...you got a dream, you got a goal, a wish, now are you brave enough to go after it? I like to think of myself as bold and brave and determined but sometimes I'm just not...there are things that people would probably find silly, simple things, little things, that absolutely terrify me. Though to be honest there is no space for fear in my life. No space to doubt, no space for self loath. It's crazy isn't it? Years and years of edjucation and nobody teaches us to love ourselves. Maybe because that is a lesson we should learn on our own? Though a little push wouldn't hurt. Just as little advice wouldn't either. I admit, sometimes I loose my way too, sometimes I doubt, sometimes I don't know what to do and I don't know what I want. In moments like those when I feel like anxiety is going to get the better of me I try to get it through to myself that I need to calm down. We all need to calm down. Our dreams are not outta reach if we are willing to work hard for them. May it be traveling, may it be art, poetry, photography, music, as long as you're ready to fight and never give up you already did half the battle...and isn't then when life is really worth living? When you reach your goals, your dreams become your reality, when you prove all those who doubted you wrong? Those are the moments to live for...And in the mean time you gotta learn how to enjoy in the little things in life. Like when people who care about you ask you how you're doing, or ask you about something you told them a while back, showing you they listen to you...or falling into your bed with fresh sheets after a long hard day...or petting a random dog, just think of it this way, the dog tugged on it's leash just to come say hello to you...or watching the sunrise, a new day, a new begining, nothing better then that...or putting on your favorite artists new album for the first time, and every other time...or that moment when it's pouring rain and you have nowhere to be so you can roll over and stay in bed or lie on the sofa with a good book...or maybe that moment when you do something, like try a new recipe, change a lightbulb, change the oil on your car, nothing major but a small victory that I know will make you feel good about yourself...I suppose what I'm trying to say is that we need to learn how to live more, laugh more and above all how to love more and where else to start if not by loving ourselves?
In other news, here's a drawing I finished this week, in between stressing myself out over exams for no reason because guess what? I passed them both *fuck yes* and seeing a movie premiere, the Bridget Jones's baby, which by the way was actually really good, so funny too...and two pictures I took...my photography creativity is so dead lately...*sigh* but enjoy these anyways...
And more importantly before I wish you a pleasant weekend and a good night...today is the Boss's birthday...the only real love of my life. Hah, Bruce I love you, thank you for everything you do, thank you for sharing your amazing music with the world and thank your for all the inspiration you give us. I know life is hard on you sometimes but you're a fucking fighter and I have nothing but mad respect for you. Thank you. Happy birthday.
Good night guys, stay safe out there.
''She's a good girl, sky blue, turquoise, fallin' for a bad boy, drivin' that Detroit, big block cruising up the blacktop, turning up a corn row, scare crow, farmhouse, gravel road, comin' for a good girl counting down the sunset, never been broke heart racing like a corvette, got a little wild fire burning in her angel eyes, probably ain't never been lost after midnight. Tryin' to be a good girl, but fallin' for a bad boy...''

All I ever needed was you.

There you lay and here I stand he knelt down on his knees and took her by the hand. We seen some good times been through some bad but somewhere between the laughter and the tears we sure had a lot of great years, she said; we didn't need fortune didn't need fame just a little shelter from the rain, your hand to hold onto, when times got tough you pulled me through...We didn't need a castle made of stone just you there as I grow old your heart to hold onto all I ever needed was you, was you.
I'm slightly drunk so please bare with me if there's any silly mistakes in this post. I'm trying, I swear. Don't give me whatever look it is that you're giving me right now. It's 11 fucking pm and I'm home already in front of my laptop. And I was drinking with my dad so...that counts for something no? Hah. No but for real I had a messed up fucking week and this is probably the only reason why nobody is dead. Or why I'm not slamming my head into a wall. Or tearing my hair out. Too much stress, too much work, too much people, too much everything. I am done. There. Done. So I decided to take it out on my credit card. Who better to abuse then a credit card? I didn't max it out this time...only did a little damage.
Work hard play hard kinda thing. Kinda. Well I learned something this week. Don't push your limits too hard. They will push back and it will hurt as hell. I need to learn to relax, I need to learn to not take things so serious, I need to learn to stress myself less. I need to get a fucking grip on myself that's what I need to do. Pull it together. I am literally driving myself insane by overthinking everything. What's my solution to that? Well the plan is that the next time I catch myself doing that I will do something that needs no thoughts put into it. Like watch the rain drops on the window, or the trees and grass moving in the wind. I will force myself to stop, take a breath and just be thankful to be alive and no matter how fucked up everything seems the world is beautiful and wasting time in thoughts that shouldn't even be in my head in the first place is so stupid and time consuming and a waste of moments that could be happy moments...
Here's my daily wisdom for you, I've got more but not right now. Right now I'm about ready for a shower and bed. This time hopefully sleeping through the entire night with no people screaming around me or stupid fucking music or god forbid neighbors deciding oh why now destroy the whole fucking house at one in the morning. Sure great idea. What is sleep anyway and who needs it. At least I have a plan B. If all else fails and I won't be able to sleep here's what I'll do...I have this Bret Michaels drawing I need to finish up and it sounds like a great idea. Guys enjoy your weekend, try to relax it's good for you I promise. Take care, stay safe, look after one another.
Remember our first dance, our first kiss I pictured my life with you to be just like this. You stood by me, I stand by you, we share the laughter joy and pain but it's a moment like this I hope it never ends. We didn't need a castle made of stone, just you there as I grow old, your heart to hold onto, all I ever needed was you. Share my life with you, I thank you for sharing your life with me, for giving me a reason to believe, for loving me for who I am.

Help me if you can, I'm feeling down.

Remember when I said I'll be getting drunk and sleeping through the weekend? Yeah that didn't happen. I forgot about one little problem. My family. And another one. Work. So help me god my body runs on caffeine and sugar alone. Just waiting till it crashes and I won't even be able to get up. I got such chronic sleep deprivation I'm not even tired no more I swear. Bad. Yes. Do I have time to fix it or live a bit healthier? No not really. And what do I do in between when I have time and I could be sleeping? I draw. Music up loud, usually Elvis Presley or Jurassic park theme song on reply and I just draw. Not as good as sleeping but way more relaxing...I finished this piece of Captain America...
The reference was a picture or a painting I'm not sure, I saw it on tumblr once and I couldn't find it again, so I decided to sketch it out. Not sure how accurate it is but it looks like him so that's good enough no? It took me twenty plus hours, so many nerves and tears *quite literally* spent on the hair but I suppose I'm happy with the end result...and here's what was playing during, on reply, I must of heard it at least 3 or 4 times...
I don't even like the Beatles much I've said that a million times and I probably will a million more. I like the biggest most cliche hits and then it ends. I don't think there will come a time when I'll be able to sit through the entire White album. Hah. But this one is so different. It's fun. I love it. So it's a movie soundtrack y'all probably know that. Me being the idiot that I am, had no idea. ''The Beatles had movies? Seriously mother what are you talking about?'' just shows you how much I know about the Beatles. Zero. What I do know is that the song Help was supposed to be a sad, whiney, slow ballad but was turned around into what it is today and thank god for that because it's actually one of my favorites and it wouldn't be if it was slow and boring. I suppose this album is so unlike the Beatles that it just works. And to be honest Yesterday is an amazing song not to mention that they actually recorded the song with a chamber music ensemble which you know was never done by a group before. Probably one of the reasons why it became one of their most famous songs too. Just one of the many little touches or things that make the Beatles stand out in the crowd of all other groups of their time, that and of course the originiality of their music and lyrics. And you know what I believe makes this album great as well? The Beatles met Dylan back in 64 and his infulence really shines through on this record. I mean You've got to hide your love away sounds excatly like Dylan, and I'm not saying this in a bad way, it actually really works. Another thing that kinda stands out for me is the lyrics of You're gonna lose that girl, I mean Lennon is actually telling some random man that he is treating his woman like shit so he promises to steal her? Crazy. Lennon logic I suppose. But the vocals are amazing on that song the way Lennon switches keys with such ease never fails to amaze me. Now I know Beatles fans will chew my ass for this one, if not for not liking them in the first place but I honestly feel this album is underrated and isn't getting enough love at all. I know there are plenty better Beatles albums out there but I suppose it's a matter of taste. I really love this one. The music on it is perfect and it could easily stand next to any album they put out later. So if you're like me, not too sure or not much of a fan, give it a try you might actually enjoy it like I do.
Alright, it's getting late, I'm beat, I'll go get some sleep, hopefully, pray for me that I make it through the week. It's going to be hard. Take care guys, stay safe out there, look after one another, and I'm sorry that this is so short but my mind is pretty blank lately. *sigh* Good night.

Stressed, depressed but well dressed.

You don't know exhaustion till you're waking up more tired then you went to bed to. I don't think it's body tired, I think it's emotionally exhausted. I can't wait till next weekend, when the first part of these exams is over with. They are taking a huge toll on me and I honestly don't even know how much more I can take. I'm tired, I'm exhausted, I'm dizzy, I get no sleep whatsoever, my hair is falling out more from all the stress, my muscles are always tense and hurting, and let's not even begin with my mind. I don't know where my head is lately. I'm all over the place. I honestly can't wait till it ends. Which brings us to another thing...I have nothing against learning, I love it actually, I love reading, you know what they say knowlege is power but the pathological demand for grades is insane. You are more then a number or a letter grading your work. A grade does not define your inteligence. I mean honestly without stressing and obsessing with grades I honestly think kids would learn A LOT more. What's the point even? I study like crazy just for that one final mark and how much you think stays in my head two months later? Nothing is the anwser. What if we studied all year, relaxed, without the worry about a grade at the end of it. Just simple learning. Wouldn't that be better? Wouldn't kids learn more and better without the stress and anxiety and crying over exams that seem all too hard? What do you think? But what do I know right. I get called stupid and naiive daily. ''I may be young but honey I aint naiive''...or something along those lines. Either way, no time to rant or complain today, so much to do and so little time to do it. I won't be around on monday either. Exams...*sigh* wish me luck you guys not only I have a really hard exam on tuesday but I have another annoying dentist appointment as well. It's like playing a game ''let's see how much stress Nikki can take before she breaks down''. Yup pretty much...Before I go though, I'd like to share my last drawing with you guys, it's Johnny Depp from the movie Dark Shadows which just happens to be one of my favorite movies...it's quick and it's sloopy but I like it anyways...
Aight, enjoy your week-end I sure as hell won't and I'll see y'all on friday, hopefully I'll have much more to say then then I do today. Cheers!

Heaven isn't too far away.

Oh my god you guys, Suicide Squad was amazing! Of course I'm pissed over so many Joker scenes being cut but I loved the movie anyways. Harley is amazing, she's just the right amount of crazy and funny, you have to love her. Careful Nikki your geek is showing. In that spirit let me share two of my latest drawings with you, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jared Leto as the Joker. The King and Queen of Gotham.
It took me well over 20 hours for each to complete, spread through a couple of days. Who has time to sit around drawing for 20 hours right? I wish I did to be honest. Art is my first love and nothing would make me as happy as making it a job as well. But then again a friend once told me, if life is happy you're doing something wrong. At the time I thought he was too pesimistic for his own good, lately I tend to agree. Anyways this blog is not about this, there's enough negativity in my life as is, no need to whine and complain here as well.
I used completly basic Faber castell colored pencils set of 24 sometimes less is more, Koh I noor graphite pencils numbers 2B and 6B, technical pencil 2B for tiny details in the eyes and teeth, white ballpoint pen, a shading tool and a lot and I do mean A LOT of nerves on Harley's hair. White paper and white hair do not mix well. If nothing else it's a good patience practice. I hope you like them, I am for the first time really satisfied with my work so I sure hope you enjoy them as much as me.
Now I advice you to step away, this post is going to get real fucking sad real fucking fast. Yesterday was August 11th as you know. And despite it being my mothers and Chris Hemsworths birthday I hate it more then anything on this planet. Why? Because of 11.8.2011. The day that ripped out my heart. There were plenty of dates like that in the past, some worse some better...yet this one...this one fucking hurts. It's the day Jani Lane passed away and I miss him like crazy. I know you're going to say I'm crazy, you're going to say I didn't know him, you're going to say...whatever else it is that you're going to say...but here's the thing, Warrant are one of my favorite bands, I love their music so much, I love him so much and the thought of him struggling so much, I know he wanted to be sober, I know he wanted to get better and I know that all the evil shit people were saying about him really got to him...knowing all that and knowing he fought so hard and didn't make it, it breaks my heart into little tiny fucking pieces. I wish things turned out different, I wish he was happier, I don't even care if he'd make more music or not, I just wish he was happy. And that is obviously a wish I'm not getting. This is a band that just like Guns n' Roses it's been in my life for so long that I can't even remember when I started liking them. Songs like Heaven, Sometimes she cries and Bed of roses are songs that I listen to when everything is completly wrong, when I feel like I'm about done with everything and life itself. I listen to his voice, or watch the 91' Tokyo full concert all over again. And it just...it makes me feel better. And I just can't bare the thought that he will never get to be happy again, or watch his kids grow up or graduate or get married and have their own kids...god...that hurts. Hurts like hell. And I said I won't let it get to me, yet it did so many times and it still does now, there'd be Heaven video on tv and I'd break down in tears, as stupid as it sounds I wish there'd be something I could of done, anything really...I wish I could punch every single person that said anything evil about him in their fucking throats. Why? What good did it give you? Do you enjoy brining pain to other people? Just because someone is a celeb you don't like you think that makes it right? Why so much hate? You don't like something that's fine but shut your mouth turn around and walk away. What's the point in hurting someone? Oh so because they're famous they can take it? They get a lot of critics anyways? Guess what? They're just people like you and me, nobody likes being brought down like this...I saw some comments about him and they made me sick, they made ME sick, can you imagine how he felt? He took everything to heart, all the nasty, rude, mean, disgusting stuff you said to him...can you imagine how he felt after that? I don't care about people's opinions, ever, I don't let it get to me but I'd be lying if I said that sometimes it doesn't hurt, all the sluts and whores and cunts I get slammed with. And I can't imagine how much worse that must be if you're not as tough as me, if you're not able to just laugh it off and walk away...
My sweet angel...I'm so sorry for the way things turned out, you were a musical genius, your lyrics were so good and honest and amazing we lost you way too soon...I'm so sorry for the way people treated you, the way life treated you, if I could go back and change something, anything, then I would no questions asked. I hope at least part of the whole heaven and hell is true and you're enjoying life somewhere right now. At least the thought of you being in a better place now makes me feel a little better. Maybe you're drinking with my best friend, he loved you just as much as I do...here's a lovely thought...I love you and miss you both, rest in peace and raise a little hell wherever you are.
And you guys, stuck down here with me, do me a favor and play a little Warrant this weekend, lord knows we need more happiness and good music on this planet. Y'all stay safe out there and enjoy your weekend to the max, that much more for those who don't have the chance to anymore.

Riders on the storm

''Riders on the storm into this house we're born, into this world we're thrown, like a dog without a bone, an actor out alone, riders on the storm''
Do you know it took me 7 tries till I got my Jim Morrison portrait at least half right? It's not done yet, god forbid, nowhere near done but so far it's going well and I'm happy about that...
There is something about his face...he was a beautiful man as is but there's something...the gaze, the eyes, the cheekbones, the hair...it's hard to capture all THAT. I felt like each time I wasn't doing right by Jim, the drawing was never good enough. But this time around I like it, presuming I don't fuck it up, still got a long way to go and plenty opportunities to screw it up. In that spirit, here's the music playing in the background, hopefully helping with inspiration and drawing skills...
I am very much in love with this record. My mother says they are meant for a more ''demanding'' audience...not everyone understands them or likes them, but I just so happen to love them. Obviously I'm a total cliche and my favorite song just so happens to be ''Light my fire'' but honestly ''Riders on the storm'' is right there next to it amongst the favorites...
LA Woman is the Doors final album with Jim, sure they continiued on as a trio but this remains their best work if you ask me. The entire record is amazing and I think it really is Doors at their best. I mean they started playing out this crazy, psychadelic, weird rock music and ''ended'' their career with blues. That's like taking the entire creative process backwards. They kinda evolved backwards. But don't get me wrong nothing wrong with that. The path they were on worked for them, and making the sixth album a blues album was obviously the right desition since this album is just...oh my god! Yes that good. Hah. Thing is it's not pure blues it's more a mix of blues and rock and I think essentially that is what makes them sound so good. They were always great obviously, ''Doors'' is an amazing album but this feels more...I don't know at home? More right? Like is just fits somehow. All the members seem more confident with this type of music, like they were made to play it. And then there's Jim...alright he was made to sing rock music, the psychadelic stuff...weird impro Salamander songs on stage for 20 minutes...but lets be honest in 71 when this album came out Jim was a completly different person. I mean if you listen to Light my fire and then Raiders on the storm, would you believe that the same man sang those and only four years apart? Because I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around that one. When they did Light my fire he was what 23? And he looked and sounded that age and four years later he aged a lifetime, he sounds tired, he sounds done, I suppose in a sad way that is why his voice fits perfectly into that bluesy sad vibe. And the worst part is that this could be his most honest work, there was no pretending, no act, nothing ''deeper'' to be discovered. It was just the truth.
I remember what is was like, playing this for the first time. I was blown away...I couldn't even pin point what it was but something about it just blew me away. There's no filler on this album, you can listen to it from start to finish because the collection of songs on it is beyond perfect. You know what it really reminds me of? Los Angeles in the 70's. Well more like the begining of the 70's. L.A. Woman is probably about Jim and Pamela...Thing is I always say if music doesn't make you feel something then you're listening to the wrong kind of music. And this one has all of the emotions thrown into a blender; longing, despair, addiction, hoplessnes, torment...and most of all sadness, if you listen carefully you get a feeling that he knew he doesn't have much time and that he accepted that fate. And it saddens me so much, his life and fate, I wish it was different, he was a musical genius and he had so much more to give to the world. It should of been different, it should of ended different. But it seems like you can't always get what you want. Though in the end it's not selfish, I wished for something better for him, even if he never touched the microphone ever again, I just wish he was happy. I curse the club 27 and the years 1970 and 1971, they took Morrison, Joplin and Hendrix and I can't imagine a sadder thing for the music world.
Anyways, ''L.A. Woman'' is one of the best rock albums out there, just as important as GN'R's Appetite for destruction or John Lennon's Imagine and a piece all rock fans should own. The original I mean, I'm not a fan of the remastered bullshit. But the original, with the sound as it should be...it's perfect. Give it a shot sometime I hope you enjoy it.
And to you my sweet Lizard king, Rest in paradise, we miss you down here in this hell we call home.

Let's go crazy.

''Dearly beloved we are gathered here today 2 get through this thing called life...''
I took some time to draw this morning. It felt so good. It feels so good focusing on something you love. Music turned up loud, fresh sharp pencils and nothing but time do whatever you want. Yeah my own little place in heaven. Interrupted way too soon unfortunally but still. It was nice while it lasted...
This is what I was working on. Aparently the drawing is ''good'' or ''awesome'' even but then there's the ''god Nikki why do you always have to draw men that are too old for you or dead already?'' ah family. You can't pick them out huh? Oh well it could be worse. This portrait took me about 13 hours all together. Really took time with the shades and little details. It's based on some picture I once saw on pintrest it looked like a grafitti. It was pretty much amazing not going to lie. I used koh i noor graphite pencils, high numbers like 6B and 7B and a white ball point pen for tiny details. And here's the record that was playing *twice* while I was drawing...
So you know how most people say that 1990 was Prince's true breakthrough? But come on are you really going to argue with this one? Really? This is a whole different level of his music talent. I mean other records are pretty much RNB or soul maybe a little punk and pop in between but Purple rain...that is rock and it's amazing. Let's go crazy became like an anthem in the 80's. All the songs on this album have that something special they sound absolutely amazing. And honestly movie or no movie it's perfect on it's own. I originally didn't even know it's a soundtrack. I know. How stupid can I be? Hah. Either way the songs are a little kinky and a little dirty and I actually like that. I mean let's just look at the song Darling Nikki for a second. Which by the way is a song all my friends love to tease me with. At first listen you'd think it's just a funny song about a horny girl but if you really listen to it you'll hear that's not the case. Now on the original album it can be played backwards. And you'll hear praises and hallelujah to god and his plans for us. How insane is that? And kinda completly perverted. Hah. God and sex references what else can we expect from Prince? Then you've got When doves cry which I can only hear a part of because unfortunally my record is cracked at the top *sigh* but I love that song out of one single reason, the lead vocal is the only real melody in this song and that's amazing...can you find me a song now that isn't built around an instrument or two? And I think nobody can argue with me that Purple rain just is a classic song. I get chils up my spine each time I listen to it on vinyl. It sounds so pure so good so alive...I can't even put it into words. Prince had his own style that he created and polished to perfection which made Purple rain the masterpiece that it is. It really shows the wide range of Prince's talents from his vocals to his musical versitility, not to mention that amazing guitar playing. This album came from Turkey sometime in the 80's which explains the crack in the vinyl. I love that the writing in the back is turkish but I'd love it even more with an inner sleeve and if it was in one piece or maybe even purple. However my two favorite songs are intact and that's what matters most. Another classic right here hope all y'all vinyl lovers out there own this one. Purple Rain was a journey I'm glad I didn't miss out on. Thank you Prince for showering us in your purple reign. Rest in power, you are missed down here.
''Electric word life, it means forever and that's a mighty long time but I'm here 2 tell u there's something else, the afterworld. A world of never ending happiness u can always see the sun, day or night.''

In the still of the night I feel my heart beating heavy telling me I gotta have more...

''In the shadow of night I see the full moon rise telling me what's in store. My heart start aching, my body start a shaking and I can't take no more, no.''
What did I do this week? Study. Did anything stay in my head? No, not really. It is highly frustrating because I try so hard and it's just not working out. Oh well you know what Nikki Sixx and the boys would say ''Rise, pull yourself together''. This shit aint taking me down. I refuse. So I'm going to do it somehow even if I end up bald in the process...hah...what else did I do? Curse everyone and everything because it was fucking snowing. Alright maybe snow in late April is not SO unusual. But are you fucking kidding me? I don't want snow in December and January much less in April. The fuck is that shit about? Ah well it is what it is. I am so not in the mood for anything today, my throat is killing me and I have about 10 things that need to be done. Damnit. I just want to roll over in bed and sleep for a few more hours. It's just a sore throat because I'm an idiot and I drink ice cold drinks but I feel like I was run over by a truck. It fucking sucks let me tell you that. Alright what else? I don't want to be listing all my troubles I complain too much as is. Hah. Here's the deal I finally and I do mean FINALLY saw the Batman vs Superman movie. What took me so long? God knows, I was busy. But holy hell is it amazing! I loved it and then I hated it and then I loved it again. Lois and Clark are so cute together and baby Lex jesus what a psycho. Not that I'm surprised.
This right here was my fav scene...
Wonder woman is amazing and I'm glad she's in the movie, though you know if the movie industry wasn't so bloody sexist I would love for her to have her own movie. If Thor can be a woman why couldn't she have her own movie? Either way it's amazing, the way it's made, the story, the effects. So bloody perfect. I hated the ending though and I'll hate it so much more if there's no part two in the future. But yeah if you're into these kinds of movies, go see it you won't regret it. Also theres a brief premiere of the Aquaman that's going to be in a solo movie played by my Hawaiian Jesus or you know Jason Momoa. He is just...you know...oh my god! Safe to say that movie got me all excited. Hah.
Here's the deal I finished two portraits this week. I wish I could say I was good and did it but really I only did it because I was doing just about anything to avoid studying. I know digging my own grave but I guess I have trouble concentrating. Even the blank wall in front of me looks more interesting. I wish I was joking but I'm really not. Heh.
Here's a portrait of Prince. Kinda like a tribute piece. I'm sick of those, I drew too many lately. Someone needs to stop taking my musicians or else...this took me about 18 hours all together to complete. I probably spent 3 hours on the eyes alone. Ha. I used classic Faber castells which I gotta say lately really disappoint me. They keep breaking. I doubt there's anything more frustrating then when you're drawing a line and the tip breaks and fucks up your drawing. I hate that so much! I also used a technical pencil and Koh I Noor graphite pencils from B to B7 and a white ball point pen. And then there's this...
Superman. Obviously. Now before you start bitching at me that it doesn't look like Henry Cavill let me point out that it wasn't my goal to make him look like Henry, obviously the reference was a picture of him that's why they're alike but I kinda went on my own with the hair and mouth and the shading. Mixed media on paper. I used color pencils, graphite pencils, markers, white and black pens and a technical pencil. Took about 9 hours to get it done.
So that's all from me today. If you're free this weekend plus monday then enjoy it if not I'm sorry. Happy friday, stay safe guys.
P.S. this beautiful babe came out today, make sure you check it out. It's amazing, the boys did an amazing job. Go and support them.

Oh, a spider, save me Jon Snow!

What did I do this week? A big mistake that's what. Finally decided to get into Game of Thrones. Those of you who already watch it know what I did and those of you who don't, well like me before, you don't know what you're missing out on. Not only is it really good but it's just fueling my Kit Harington obsession even more...I mean I was already all over him since I saw him in Pompeii and the Seventh son but now...Jon Snow...holy fuck. That man is just so attractive. First time I went for the darkhaired one too. Usually I'd just get glued to the blonde one. But he's a sleaze ball. Besides y'all know I have a thing for British men...
Hah. Good job Nikki all you do is complain about your favorite characters dying in all your shows, sometimes not just once...god damn Supernatural...and then you go and watch Game of Thrones instead. Well done. I'm going to regret this aren't I? Oh well, what's done is done.
Have y'all been paying attention to Guns N' Roses lately? All the pictures and teasing will be the death of me. It's only seven days till the first concert in Vegas. Holy shit! I'm not even going to be there and I'm freaking out. It's been over twenty years. Welcome back to the jungle boys I'm so excited. Excited for them for doing this, excited to see what they play, excited to see who's the drummer because my money is on Adler and nothing would make me happier then Stevie and Izz joining as well. Come on it's been thirty years this reunion is probably because of the fact that Appetite is celebrating thirty years of fucking course Iz and Stevie have to be back too. Alright lets not go there again. There's actually something else that's been bothering me. I've been tearing my hair out over these stupid math exams. I've never been too bright when it comes to maths and I never will be. But I'm trying at least, doesn't that count for something? Thing is I'm an artist I'm going to an art school but still my math classes are insanely difficult and to be fair there's too many of them. Not to mention chemistry and other ''sciency'' classes. So I can't help but wonder why does the world work this way? Why are people who are talented for science and math treated differently then I am. I mean why is it okay to suck at art ''it's just not your thing'' but if you suck at math you're either stupid or not trying hard enough. This pisses me off so much. Math is also a talent. A talent not everyone has. So why is my ''gift'' worth less then theirs? How is that even fair? Why am I literally being forced to study like an idiot to pass math but science people aren't forced to take art classes because it's ''not their thing''. Lies. With practice and determination everyone can learn how to draw. Of course it's easier if you're talented but you can always learn if you want to. Didn't I learn maths? You have no idea how much this angers me. In that spirit, instead of ranting I'll go back to my drawings. I've got a ton of requests, Paul McCartney, Rhett Butler from Gone with the wind, Jon Snow *fuck yes* and the one I'm working on now, a wolf...in color. I don't usually draw animals, out of obvious reasons but this time I made an exception because I'm proving a point to myself that just becasue I don't want to doesn't mean I can't. In the mean time enjoy this finished portrait of John Lennon. I'm actually really happy with how it turned out and it also one of few drawings that took me this long. Almost twenty hours. I used B to B6 Faber Castell pencils, 0.5 technical pencil and a white ballpoint pen.
Guys just a heads up, don't take anything seriously today. It's April 1st. People will try to fuck around with you. I've been paying extra attention after a couple of people tried to play really rude jokes on me.
Anyways enjoy the weekend, to my fellow TWD fans, I hope you survive the finale, I know I'm as sure as fuck not ready for this. Christ.
Stay safe guys.

So nevermind the darkness we still can find a way.

Lazy weekend behind me. I literally did nothing. Don't think I don't feel guilty now but sometimes you just have to do nothing. Still recovering from the sickness I had - have. It just won't go the fuck away. And I'm mad as hell because I have a shit ton of stuff to do and zero energy. I mean I don't want to be bothered. Like just leave me alone. That would be awesome. But when is life ever that easy? Never.
I've seen the movie Soaked in bleach on saturday. I guess it kinda really upset me. I mean I never thought that Kurt Cobain killed himself. Never for a second. I suppose 20% is the fan in me not wanting it to be true and the other 80% is that things just don't add up. I won't point fingers on anyone. I don't know who did it and I don't want to blame anyone though we all know *coughcourtneycough*. What upsets me is the attitude the police showed towards the entire case. And not just because it's Cobain but in general. How can you fuck up an investigation so much? Don't you believe he deserves justice too? I do. I wish someone took it serious, did a proper investigation and put the thing to rest and let him rest in peace. He deserves that much.
In the mean time, rest in paradise, we love you, thank you for everything.
Now...I thought for a while about what to post. Which record to pick. It isn't as easy as it may seem. I love so much music and I have so many albums...but then you know...it is what it is and we all know that my love for my favorites always wins...specially now when these tour rumors are getting louder and louder...*oh please dear god let it be the truth* so here we are...
I love this album so much. Like you don't understand how much I love it. Don't cry, the original which is on it is my favorite song by Guns. One of my favorite songs in general actually. It's beautiful. His voice is amazing. The guitars, the bass, the drums, sweet jesus it's perfect. All of it. I can honestly say I loved this band my entire life. I mean that's saying something about my sufferning considering November rain came out around the same time I was born and it all went downhill after that. Unfortunally. But I've always loved Guns. I remember the greatest hits CD playing in my mothers car non stop, which I believe it still does now. An amazing CD by the way...I mean to me Appetite is still the shit always will be, I think it's their best work hands down *hey I still may be surprised, there's people saying they're recording new music right? Though my heart hurts I just want Iz and Stevie with them* but Use your Illusion was amazing. I think some of Izzy's best songs are right on that record, McKagan that rhytm, christ, Slash, that guitars holy fucking hell, the drums fucking amazing and Axl, there's no point in saying anything it's obvious why he is one of the best vocalists on the planet. Think of it this way though Illusion had to be one of the most ambitious rock albums of all times I mean nobody ever dared to release two separate albums at the same time before. Let alone make them over 70 minutes long each. It was very bold, daring and dangerous but in the long run proved to be a good move. I believe I read somewhere once that it was Axl's idea because a box set of the records would be too expensive for the fans or something like that? I don't know if that's true though. Could be. I mean the songs on this record are just...wow. It starts with Right next door to hell which is fast, catchy, and has that Appetite for destruction feel, then you have Don't cry which I already stated was my favorite and not picking sides but it might as well be one of the best power ballads ever done, the lyrics are beauitful and that ''tonight'' on the end...Amazing. And that fucking ripping perfect solo from Slash on Back of bitch. Are you fucking kidding me? Guitar god. This is why he was and always will be my favorite guitar player and biggest music inspiration. Then there's November rain. I'm pretty sure I came close to having my first words ''November'' or ''rain''. This song was constantly played in our house. All the time. And still today so many years later it remains my mothers favorite and also one of my favorites. It's beautiful. The orchestral background, the piano parts and guitar riffs...love the finale of the song, love the entire story to it, fantastic lyrics, they're not sappy they have a message...I think what they're trying to say is sometimes when it's fucking pouring rain we just have to walk away but hold on because nothing lasts forever and in the end everything will be alright. Or at least that's how I see the song. It makes me feel better when I'm down because it makes it easier to believe that everything will be alright someday. Anyways there are a few albums in rock history that I believe are damn near perfection and this one is definatelly on that list. So I don't know what the guys are planning, what the new music is going to be like, if there even really is new music comming out but I know this, ten years ago or fifty fucking years in the future this album will always be one of my favorites and there's nothing that could change it. There will never be a band as good as they are ever again. So this is an album *along with Illusions II.* that everyone should own and just play it and enjoy it every now and again because it's amazing and like I said nobody will ever knock them off that throne. So guys if you have this record, put it on, enjoy it, love it, go crazy, I know I will. On friday when all the shit waiting for me this week is over. Hah. Enjoy your week, make it your bitch. Stay safe!
