I'll see you in my dreams.

It's been a few days huh? Since the concert I mean. The Boss in Vienna. I've been meaning to write a couple of words but life got in the way. As usual. Natural disaster after natural disaster. First it was massive storms, then it was a tornado, then it was an earthquake and now it's ended (hopefully because I'm not ready for locusts) with Biblical floodings. I don't know who hates us, well actually lots of people hate us lately, but the fury mother nature unleashed on us in the past couple of days…it's unseen. At this point, if any of my fellow citizens are reading, guys stay strong, we can get through this together.

Now first things first, y'all know I love Vienna, it's my favourite place right after Italy and our seaside. It always feels like returning home when I'm there. Sorta. I know the city by heart, I love it, I love it's streets, I love it's vibe, the history, the culture. I love everything about it. And I love going to all the places I don't have at home, you guys know me, bookstores and Starbucks. Guys! They renovated Thalia book shop on Mariahilferstrasse and you know what?! It literally has a cafe inside, you can get coffee, a snack and read in peace! I think my brain exploded upon seeing that. Also, let me point out that I shouldn't be allowed unsupervised in a bookstore with my boyfriends credit card. Just saying. Also he shouldn't be as kind as he is saying ''buy as many as you want baby''. What did I do to deserve him? Also I did buy as many as I wanted…and would probably buy more but who's going to carry all that? Oh the boyfriend duh! That's why we have them to pay and carry bags, am I rite ladies? Lol just kidding, I know he's reading this, I'm sorry babe, you know I love you.

Side note, extremely excited for the new Ali Hazelwood, though when will I get to read it? Who knows, as I keep saying, book buying and book reading are two completely different hobbies. Now lets get back to the Boss. This concert was sold out within minutes, and there were no tickets to buy anywhere, can you imagine? No scalpers to rob you of your money, shocking but also…so humbling in a way. I think everyone understands the scale of this show. The scale of the man. He's an amazing musician and there aint nobody like him out there. I'm not just saying because I'm quite literally obsessed with him but because it's the truth. There is just one ''THE BOSS''. I literally fought to get tickets, I bought them a minute after they were put on sale almost a year before the show and I think it was literally hunger games to get them, because we all feared it might be his last tour. It might be. It might not be. Rumors are spreading for both. I understand if he'd wanna quit touring and focus on things he loves like the Broadway or podcasts or books, but also I'd have a hard time accepting never seeing him live again. If this was my last show…that's a hard pill to swallow. The entire vibe of the show felt sorta final you know, a lot of talks about dark thematics, death, endings, sadness, with uplifting moments in between. And on the other hand on the last concert of the tour he said ''we'll be back'' so…who knows really besides the Boss?

First things first let me complain for a quick second, first time I saw him at this stadium, that was in 2012, the concert was 3 hours and 41 minutes long, like police came to shut down the power long. It was the ''Wrecking ball'' tour and my first time seeing him. Of course you never forget your firsts. It was an amazing experience and one of my favourite concerts as is. And also he did one of my fave songs then which is ''Waitin on a sunny day''. It's no secret though that while I love Vienna my favourite concerts are actually Italy and if Milano was on this tour I'd rather be there. Nothing beats Italian fan actions, temparament and just Italy in general. Oh! Guys you know I am obsessed with these cups you can now buy on stadiums right? Obsessed, and of course I had to get one here as well, even if water costs 8 euros, which is absurd and should be either holy water or Bosses sweat and tears to make it worth that price. Just saying. But like….look at it! Perfection.

The tickets! Expensive as fuck but so worth every cent, first row, almost down on the grass of the stadium. If you think I didn't cry over my tickets you are wrong. Thank you goes to a friend of mine who made sure I get the best tickets, who in turn as a gift got my tiny drawing of Bruce, which he absolutely loved. Made my whole day, week, month, maybe even year. I honestly am so grateful to have him, to know him, and to make someone who makes me so happy, SO happy in return, that means the world to me. Yes I want to be a paid artist but believe me guys, no money is better then genuine happiness you can give someone with your art.

So this show was quite a bit shorter, about 2 hours and 30 minutes, he opened with ''No Surrender'' and closed with ''I'll see you in my dreams''. Patti was not present like she wasn't most of the tour unfortunally. And there was another ''first'' on this tour which is that most of it with slight deviations was identical. Meaning all shows the same in setlist. People complained about it but you know what? I actually like that because then I don't have to mope and complain how some people get a better setlist than I. Yes I am looking at you Guns n' Roses, two shows and I didn't get ''Don't cry''? Guess what? I am fucking crying over that. People also complained about the actual setlist because there were less big hits but a mix of everything. I honestly wouldn't even mind if all he sang was the last album and those are all covers. Just sayin.

As you can imagine I completely fucking lost it three times, ''Letter to you'', ''Nightshift'' and ''The River''. Shrieking hysterically, amusing everyone around me because yes I was the youngest on my part of the stadium and probably the most excited. Like I may chuck my bra on stage type excited. I noticed less talking between songs too, I mean there was hardly a pause in between, he hardly took a deep breath to carry on with the next song after one ended.

Here's the deal, in between, he takes time to give a little speech about his joining the band in the mid 60s and then 50 years later about the death of his friend George Theiss who was actually the person that hired Bruce as a guitarist, when he was still a teen. He talked about how final death is and that's what I meant with the somber atmosphere, it was quite…dark. To say the least. And it made me feel a bit unsettling. Like…this is final. Like he's talking about death because this is also the death of the band. Which means at the end, the last song, darkness, the cell phone lights, ''I'll see you in my dreams''? The waterworks came on. Like a whole bunch, like sleeves caked in black makeup waterworks. Last time this happened this bad, we were in Italy and Bon Jovi were singing ''Always''. I'm never getting over that one.

I have a different complaint tho, not about the setlist but about merchandise prices, like, sweetie, honey, are you fucking insane?? What were those prices? 30 euro tote bag? 50 euro shirts? Which obviously means I had to get two. Am I also insane then? Probably but guys…look at my prized possesions…

I'm not going to spam you forever, I'll make this short. For once. If I don't this will turn into a Bruce blog at some point. Basically all you really need to know, this was an absolutely amazing show, and if you've never seen him live. You have too. Because there's musicians and then there's Bruce. And there's concerts and then there's Bruce. There's nothihng like him and nobody like him. Point is. I absolutely love him and I hope I can end this post with ''until next time, Bruce, thank you, I love you''.

Baby it's all or nothing now, don't wanna run and I can't walk out. You're breaking my heart if you leave me now, don't wanna wait forever.

I promised ''business as usual'' so here we are again. A concert write up. These sometimes come easy and sometimes it's harder. Hemingway said to write hard and clear about what hurts you, and probably all other emotions as well. Problem is I aint Hemingway and writing is hard. Summing up emotions is sometimes downright impossible. How can you describe all the love, all the passion, all the hatred all the raging emotions? It's hard. But I will try my best as usual.

Right, a concert review. If you follow me on Instagram then you know who it is I'm writing about. Yes, that's right. The one and only. Cher. Shut up, I love her.

People call Madonna the ''Queen of pop'' maybe she really is but she ain't got nothing on Cher. Cher is a legend.  A pop legend. Which doesn't fit in with my usual dark, heavy and loud music, I'm aware. But it is what it is. Limiting yourself on one music genre is so stupid. Listen to whatever the hell you like even if it's those damn singing chipmunks. And lets be honest my music taste is all over the place. Obviously.

There are so many bands and musicians that I've been dying to see. Some came true already, and some I haven't had the chance yet, cough Metallica cough. But to be honest, I never thought I'd see Cher. Ever. First things first, last time she toured near me was 15 years ago. 15! I started going to concerts outside my own country about a year or two later. And then she had that Las Vegas thing going on and ugly rumours spreading that she's sick…so on so on. I didn't think I'd see her ever. It was making me sad to be fair. She and Celine Dion are the only two pop divas that I wanted to see live. Now Cher I did, but Celine, that may never happen with sky high tickets prices she's got going on.

Here's the deal this ''Here we go again'' tour has only nineteen dates in Europe and none in Italy or France. So to actually have a date in Vienna (a day before my birthday!) was a blessing from high heavens. And the fact that after some complications (long story) even made it there was another one.

Vienna is one of my favourite cities, I always say ''I basically live there'' because I'm there often, it's beautiful, it's historic, it's alive, it's everything my home isn't. And they have two of my favourite concert venues, which are Gasometer and Stadthalle. Amazing venues and I've seen so many amazing bands and personal favourites there. Of course let's not forget the Ernst Happel Stadium as well. Always going to be a special place for me, lost my Springsteen V card there. Mind out of the gutter I meant the concert! Jesus guys.

I have to say though, it was a little difficult coming back to ''halle D'' Stadthalle. Last time I was there I watched Queen preform with Adam Lambert. Mindblowing preformance but the difficult part is because of a concert before that one. The very same venue I saw Linkin park in. I don't think the reality of losing Chester is ever going to actually settle in my brain. So really before the show started I was somehow staring at the spot where I was for the Linkin park gig, remembering all the feelings I felt then. Bitter sweet.

This concert though, was something else entirely. A sure top five fave. Something I never experienced. It's like a mix of pop music and Cirque du Soleil. I've seen so many concerts but somehow all of them were heavy metal or hard rock. I listen to all kinds of music at home, but concert wise I don't stray far from my favourite genre. Of course I'd kill to see Keith Urban, Brantley Gilbert, Jason Aldean and Kip Moore in Europe but do you think those bitches ever tour here? Uh no, no they don't.  I think the ''strangest'' concert that I've been to might as well be David Garrett. People keep saying it's because I think he's pretty. Not true. I mean I do think he's to die for handsome but I actually love his music. Deal with it.

Cher is amazing. AMAZING. The concert was way too short though. I mean I understand, not many are like Mick Jagger but still, I would of wished a few more songs. At least ''Love on a rooftop'' because it's my absolute favourite song by Cher.

Huge props to the DJ that started the whole thing and came back after support left. He's called ''KidCutUp'' and not only does he use vinyl instead of boxes and computers, the mix of 80's pop music he had going on was amazing. All the best songs, all the ''gay anthems'' which I love and know by heart, and when just about every song I could imagine was played I'm like ''all I need now is ''I will survive'' and I am done for'' guess what happened? I will survive was next. Incredible. There was a lot of gay people, gay couples at the concert. Not surprising, if we look up Cher on wikipedia I think there's a line saying ''Cher is considered a gay icon and is often imitated by drag queens''.  Oh my god. Even if I didn't like her I'd still go to another show, because gay couples! Only the cutest, sweetest people out there, and I enjoyed every moment of interacting with them and taking their pictures (upon being asked, not like a creeper mind you).

So the support was some musician named Crimer. No clue who he is or what he's about. I know he's a Swiss musician and I like the sassy website ''It's Crimers website baby! Don't be shy, just hit the link''. Clever.  Music was alright too, I enjoyed some songs, but you know how it is, you're just eager to get support off stage and have the main act already. That's how it is for me anyways. I can't remember when I actually waited equally excited for the support. Well. Wait. When All time low had Neck deep. And when Green day had Rancid. Else, meh. Who cares. Sorry, Crimer you were cool tho, the 80's pop vibe and style was great.

After him DJ came back playing some more anthems, asking the crowd if they are ready for Cher. Obviously more than ready. And to ''help'' warm up the vocal chords he had Freddie Mercury's iconic screams. You know from Wembley? Goosebumps all over. Really an amazing DJ. It's something, me saying that. I am 99% allergic to DJ's.

I mean I don't know how do you actually ''turn back time'' but so help me jesus Cher did it. She did not age one bit and her voice sounds exactly the same as it did in the 1960's. Infuckingsane. Don't even start with ''but plastic surgery'' with me because I will kick your ass back to Jotunheimr where you belong. Yes I know she had a lot done but that doesn't change the fact that she has a body I would kill for. Seriously that figure? Mamma mia. And a voice that doesn't need any corrections at all.  She may be 73 but you guys, I'd go gay for her every day of the week.

I think the best way to describe the whole gig is like she called it ''extravagant''. It starts with a video montage of different parts of her life and highlights in her career while the song Woman's world plays in the back. Fitting because lets face it, this really is a Woman's world. Men would be lost and clueless without us.  You know that moment, when the curtain falls and the band comes on stage. Yes that happens here too, they're mounting suspense and anticipation untill the curtain falls and Cher emerges, standing in this golden lift type thingy in the air, wearing the best sparkly dress and a blue wig. I honestly wonder who does her clothes and makeup because honey you fine. And this particular outfit is out of this world, has this Roman vibe and her dancers are gladiators. A moment for a speech is taken here as well, and Cher's problems with a shoe which she refers to as ''this bitch'' and has someone helping her resolve the issue because apparently she wouldn't wanna bend over in tight clothes. As someone who only wears skin tight jeans I more than understand.

She has a ton of dancers on stage, all insanely talented and there to entertain while the Queen changes clothes. Of course so do they, and nearly for every single song. I loved all the clothes though, sparkly, bright, happy, perfect. And of course the iconic all black lace and leather jacket for ''If I could turn back time''. I don't know what I want more in that moment, to be her or to be with her. Honestly.

Womens world after the curtain drop flows into Strong enough and the band on stage without Cher for Gayatri Mantra, which is followed by All or nothing and Cher riding out on a huge  animatronic elephant. Oh.My.God.  And a very touching moment where she preforms two songs with Sonny Bono, the same way Queen do Bohemian Rhapsody with Freddie. He was on the projector and she sang literally with him. It was sweet, though before she said she wasn't sure about this song ''I got you babe'' and she wasn't sure how people were react and maybe rather on the next tour and then she's like ''bitch you may be dead then, do it now''. Lol. I sincerly doubt there will be another tour. I wish but you know…

The number I just LOVED was ''Welcome to Burlesque''. I am already obsessed with the movie, it's really good and this act was just totally badass. Cher plays the most badass boss in this movie, Christina has an amazing voice and Cam who plays the bartender? Eyeliner? Uh yes please. So handsome! The dancing at the show was spot on, the dancers were just sexy enough, and Cher walks out like the diva that she is. Amazing I tell you. Actually fun fact, I totally want a Burlesque bar of my own. No joke. There's something about the vibe, the dance, the way women are dressed, revealing, yet sexy not vulgar…it's really awesome.

Of course the show can't go on without ABBA. Like, okay…I am NOT an ABBA fan, that's too much even for me. But the original Mamma mia movie is still one I saw one too many times. Cheesy, funny, light, just perfect. Part two though, hated it, Cher was the only highlight in it and of course Andy Garcia, other than that, might as well trash the whole movie. Don't get me wrong, cast was fantastic, and they did a great job, but the story…no thank you. But Cher is so badass in it. And I love her. So of course on stage she does Waterloo, SOS and Fernando. Can't do without Fernando. I guess at least Mamma mia would also be great or say with the amazing dancers she has the Dancing Queen.

Like I'm sorry but you just have to love Cher for her ''fuck it'' attitude. She could not care less about what other people think of her. At all. And I admire that. I should spend a little less time worrying about that myself. Cher knows she's beautiful and amazing and fabulous and badass and she has a music library and list of acting roles to prove it. Some of it you get to see at the concert, when a montage of movie clips and most famous scenes plays.

There's a pause where she stands on stage and tells a long story. Well longish. About 15 minutes. It's a whole novella, like Nikki Sixx did, when he talked about knives and what they mean to him on the last Crue tour. Cher talks a little about her career, how she never felt accepted, about being told she's too old and not sexy enough for a certain movie part by Jack Nicholson who I never liked and now I just downright despise, fuck you Jack, you couldn't handle a woman like Cher. She also told us she didn't want to go to David Letterman and when asked why by him she without thinking told him ''because I thought you were an asshole''. Hysterical. And also of course she talks about her age, which may be the best part of the show…she says she doesn't know why people cheer when she tells them how old she is, is it because she's still alive and they're amazed? Lol. And what I loved was that she dedicated this speech to women, no matter how old you gotta do what you wanna do in life. This entire show is like an ode to women, no matter who you are, where you're from, how old you are, no matter what people say and expect of you, you are the one who decides which path you're taking and who you are. And Cher decided she's going to be a Queen a long time ago and she's still rocking it. And of course she's totally right, this is a beautiful message. Get  off your ass and go do whatever it is you wanna do. She ends the speech with ''I just got one question left, what is your grandmother doing tonight?''. Amazing. Hah.

Of course you also got a cover of Cohn's Walking in Memphis which is one of my fave songs as is. Elvis, Memphis, Cher singing, clearly I love it. She talks a little about seeing Elvis with her mother when she was 11 then. I'm jealous. I'm jealous of everyone that got to see Elvis. But like she says, he was a rebel, he did something different, and he was the inspiration for so many musicians. Love him or hate him, Elvis is to ''blame'' and without him…well who knows what music would look like today, which bands would maybe never exist because they'd never get inspired to even start a music career. As she sings Walking in Memphis there's a what appears to be a Memphis street in the back and a billboard on the street that reads ''Chelvis''. Let me just point out in modern terms that I ''totally ship'' Chelvis.

The entire show is like a walk through through different times, eras, locations. It starts with the Romans, then we move to India. Then there's the romantic tribute to the late Sonny, clearly in a 60's style. Middle part of the show is a tribute to her film career, showing movies, doing an act from Burlesque and Mamma mia. Then we move to the 50's rock nostalgia with Elvis and back to the 80's yet again. One of Chers musicians does a bad ass guitar solo. Of course, guitarist, blond, clearly I was very intrigued. My friend said, that though Cher is now officially single, doesn't want a serious relationship or god forbid another marriage, but she's surely not lonely. Well….if I was Cher, I know who'd keep my bed warm. Cough blondie cough.

After the solo and Bolton's cover of ''I found someone'' Cher returns in that iconic skintight see through bodysuit and leather jacket she wore in the music video ''If I could turn back time''. Guys. I tell you again, I am not gay but I would go gay for her looking like that everyday of the week. No joke. Y'all saw that music video right? It's shot on board of the Battleship USS Missouri and basically it's Cher and her band preforming for the ship's crew. Though in the video the bodysuit shows a lot more of Cher's butt and a tattoo of a butterfly on it. Glad to know I'm not the only ''idiot'' to have a tattoo down there. Of course as per usual the video was contraversial and tv stations refused to play it. I mean like…do these people still live? Have they seen what these so called modern pop stars put out now? Cuz it's like basically porn and nobody bans them. You know skin coverage equals talent and since they got none…oh well.

The concert ends too fast, I'm spoiled by Springsteen and Guns N' Roses I suppose, but at 15 songs that's obviously way too few for me. I could honestly listen to her for another hour.  Of course as per usual the night ends like so many Cher concerts do, with Believe. Which as cliche as it is is totally one of my favourite songs. It was the first song ever to be recorded with auto tune and it sounds ridiculous if you think about it but hell I still love it. And the lyrics are awesome. Don't we all want to ''believe in life after love''. A happy life that is. In another happily ever after. And of course let's not even start with Adam Lamberts cover of this song. It was out of this world. This song is an anthem. That is all I have to say. It brings up so many good memories, every club used to play this song, everyone used to dance to this song. It literally made you wanna drink fruity boozy drinks and dance the night away lost in the music.  With the song ending, Cher disappears through the doors on stage, dancers take a bow and that's it, lights turn on and you know it's over. Saddest moment of every show. But all good things must end at some point.

There is no question what so ever that this tour, most likely the final tour (though I don't know if that was confirmed and there were like 3 of them already) is sending Cher out in style and she continues to prove that she can literally wipe the stage floors with any pop star from previous generations or the new ones. Yes I mean it. Don't you dare sending me any ''but Beyonce'' messages. Beyonce will have to eat a lot more spinach to measure up to the perfection that is Cher. And the audience in the venue confirmed that very well as well. Insane energy, people singing along, off their feet, dancing, proving that Cher is the Queen and a legend.

All in all, it was a different concert than what I'm used to, but given the chance I'd love to go again. It was a fun night, full of laughter and good vibes. Now if only I get Jason Aldean in Europe preferably with Keith Urban, Brantley Gilbert and Kip Moore. I'd be the happiest. Else you know business as usual, really hoping to see Metallica next year. At fucking last. Fingers crossed.

Alright time to wash the glitter out of my hair and return to the ''real world''. Doesn't sound too appealing, but whats gotta be done and all that.

Fate placed us together, tell me why, oh tell me why. So if you can't face forever then tell me lies, oh, tell me lies.

So…I'm gonna do a travel piece for a change. And most likely it's going to be really long, so go get some snaks before you start reading and get ready for some, travel, lifestyle, food, and all the rest of that crap that seems to be oh so popular when it comes to blogging.

It's no secret that Vienna is one of my favorite cities on this planet. No, I haven't seen the entire planet yet but you get the point. Berlin will always be my favorite there's no changing that. Fell in love with it the first time I was there. Fell in love with the….you know how people say some cities live and breathe? Someone was explaining that to me once and I thought he was crazy…but then I saw Berlin for the first time and it was…magical, the city felt alive. The art, the culture, the vibe. All of it. It was something special.
But this isn't about Berlin, lord knows if I go there I'll never stop typing. Vienna is an amazing city and only 5 hours away from home by train or car. I'm there a lot but usually just for a few hours because it's my favorite concert city. I've seen all my favorite bands there but rarely stayed for more then a couple of hours, we always came in on the day of the concert and went back home right after. This time there was no concert but a short vacation instead.
Let me start this post with a huge culture shock I get each time I'm there. I can't process how clean the city is, how nice people are, how open, judgment free they are. We may be 50 minutes apart by air but mentaly we are millions of miles apart. First day I got there I walked into a gay event. Rainbow flags, a red carpet cat walk, music such as ''I'm coming out'' and three guys with signs ''totally gay, not gay enough, gay enough'' as marks for those who walked the cat walk. Nobody turned around, nobody glared, nobody said a mean word. I was so amazed because home? They would tear them apart. We're not there yet, when it comes to loving who you wanna love, we're complete idiots. And I hate it. I joined the event for like an hour and enjoyed it SO much.
Of course after that was the ''must do a few times I'm staying here'' walk down my fave Mariahilfer strasse. One of the biggest shopping streets? Uh yes please. It's ''only'' 2 kilometers long and there's something for literally everyone found there. Even a weirdo like me ''cough Rattlesnake cough''. I love it there, stores, people, everything is so different then home and so amazing. Counting between days I'd say right after museums I spent most time there. Street food, shops, ''photo sessions'', churches…
First museum I've seen on this trip was ''Albertina''. Can I just say OH MY GOD?! Did I ever imagine standing in front of works of art by not only my favorite artists but like biggest artistic geniuses ever? No I didn't. Museum starts with a bunch of so called ''state rooms'', palace like rooms, one is yellow one is red one is green…it's very ''kitchy'' but I honestly love it in a weird way. Wouldn't be a bad place to live.
As the exhibition goes on you see Michelangelo's sketches, red and black chalk nude body studies, there's only three of his works but can you imagine? The genius that is Michelangelo actually drew that, his actual hands were drawing those lines? I can't even process that. I can't process that for all the rest either.
Monet? Like those of you who know me well know that he is my absolute favorite. Paint brush strokes, light, shadow, the moment captured…all of it so bloody inspiring and perfect. There's something about his works that just pulls me in and doesn't let go. Albertina has a couple of his works like ''view of Vetheuil'' which is absolutely gorgeous with it's light pastel colors and gentle strokes.
There's works by Cezanne, Renoir, Lebasque, Degas, Matisse, Braque, Picasso, Signac, Rodin, Munch, Modigliani and of course others famous local and none local artists. A lot of painters I didn't know before but ended up loving. There was a piece of art that I particulary loved ''Paul Delvaux ''Landscape with Lanterns'' '' . And it happened to be so brilliantly displayed on a blue wall that brought out the colors on the painting itself even more.
I ended up wondering if the paintings are even real because I couldn't believe I'm actually standing in front of them.
There's a lot of architectural sketches as well as photography pieces, mostly USA but brilliant pictures. A tiny piece of the museum offers contemporary art as well, some pop art, Warhol and such. There's a piece…it was so bizarre and morbid and amazing, that I just adored, and so realistic. You wouldn't believe it's not a photograph looking at it. I ended up taking some pictures of people watching the art because I just loved how they were into it, discussing colors, techniques used and other things. Nothing like home when people fly by not really stopping.
After Albertina there was of course St. Stephans cathedral. I am obsessed, literally obsessed with old churches, the architecture, paintings, ceiling art, stained glass windows…though this one when it comes to the ceiling it's pretty boring, no paintings just the typical gothic arches. But the altar and the rest is amazing. Really gives you that whole ''makes you feel small'' feeling. I ended wandering up into St. Peters cathedral that's a few hundred meters away and I can say that that one is far more impressing. The ceiling, the altar, the pulpit? My god, so much gold, but so beautiful. I sat in it for a while ( would you believe it even has feet heaters? ) and listen to the organs play and it was a really beautiful moment even for someone as allergic to religion as I am. Though the bones they had on full display creeped me out a little bit not going to lie.

The museum tour went on with Belvedere. Which was a museum I wanted to see for a few years now. There's two of them the upper and lower Belvedere but let's be serious I was only into the upper one because it's the home of Gustav Klimts ''The Kiss''. I've seen his 100 years anniversary exhibition at the Leopold's museum few years ago but they didn't include the Kiss in it. And finally seeing it was a moment of it's own. I knew it's beautiful but I couldn't imagine it being that beautiful till I actually saw it. The gold color is so amazing in person, no photograph ever does it justice. Of course the rest of the museum is pretty empty but the room with the Kiss is totally crowded. People. Such sheeps. I enjoyed the rest of the museum a lot actually too. They don't have a lot of Klimt though most is still in Leopolds museum but they have a lot of other painters including some same big names as Albertina. And a couple of rooms, ceilings and a view to die for.
There was a moment when I walked into another random room and finally found myself in front of the ''Napoleon crossing the Alps'' now as you may know there are five versions of this painting that actually matter, and I was fully convinced that I've seen one years ago in Italy when we were on the island Elba, which would only make sense no? Well shit I was wrong, it would appear that this was my first time seeing one of the originals. But holy shit is it amazing or what? The red cape? The color is so vibrant, and the details on Napoleon's face and the horse, that horses tail! Gosh that really is a work of art. I absolutely adored it from the first second I saw it. I had to be sitting in front of it for the longest time, admiring it and taking in every single detail.
You can of course also find numerous paintings of Franz Joseph and Sisi, no wonder, and some early Christianic art, which I'm more then familiar with since our National gallery back home has about a ton of.

I had a funny moment with the security guard at the Belvedre, no not running from him no worries but actually chatting. They wear all black, trousers, suit jackets and black shirts, very elegant may I add. Anyways I was wearing my black ''not today satan'' shirt and the security stopped me started laughing said he loves my shirt then he's like ''imagine me wearing it under my jacket, if anyone gave me any trouble I could just open the jacket and show it to them'' hah, I told him I think that's a wonderful idea and then break his heart by telling him I painted it myself so he can't go buy it down the street. He was super nice btw, nothing like the idiots back home.
I ended up the Belvedere trip in the gardens, which are out of this world also mind you, the fountains ( with a ton of crows flying around and bathing in them ) the flowers, the perfectly cut green grass. Gorgeous. But kinda too hot to wander around for long. So help me jesus I didn't imagine it will be that hot in Vienna in September. Mostly I only had bad luck with weather in Austria in the ''late summer'', gray, moody and rainy mostly. This time I thanked all the gods I thought of taking a pair of shorts with ''just in case'' along with my usual black skinny jeans.
Did I mention though that this was my first time coming to ''Wien Hauptbanhof''? they were building it for so long, each time I went to Vienna in the past couple of years we always ended up at ''Wien Meindling'' and now I can see why it took them so long. It's an amazing station, 90 shops, 3 stories down, jesus christ. Our biggest shopping mall back home isn't that big and doesn't offer pretty much everything your heart desires as they do here.
This was also the first time I went to see the market. I feel like cemeteries and markets are the most important thing to see to get the feel of what the city is like. But this was nothing like the markets I'm used to or the markets I've ever seen. It's probably the size of my entire hometown. Starts with antiques, fleamarket, with such amazing things you wouldn't believe. Vinyl, clothes, antiques, anything and everything, but don't let the name fleamarket fool you, the prices are really high and they don't like bargain.
The part with the food though, that's another story, should I start at the begining or how I almost married an Egyptian man? Hah. It's a never ending street of all kinds of food that you can try too, fruit, nuts, cheese, meat, sea food, all kinds of olives and spices, things I never even heard of much less seen in person. It's loud, there's a blues band playing live, ''Fly me to the moon'', food in and out of the restaurants smells amazing….a place where you can get lost for a couple of hours.
So…I was obviously into buying a few samples of fruit and nuts because that's something I actually like and this guy calls me over by calling me ''Michael Jackson'' probably because I wore the same shades as he did. Hah. He asked me to try a few things and tell him what I like most, or should I say feeding me some things giggling and ''begging'' not to bite his fingers. Hah. It was histerical we went back and forth like this for a long time, in which he was also kissing my neck, we were hugging, he told me that his heart can't take it no more, that I'm going to break it by leaving and that if he ever gets married he will only marry me. Ha. Probably a very clever marketing trick, I'd imagine I wasn't the first tourist to hear such a story, but you know me, I love anything Arabic ( or Lebanese cough Jack cough ) and I got a great price for all the fruit I bought so it was worth it.
On the way from the market I also saw a couple of universities that made mine really look bleek and small and unimportant and yet another church. ''Karlskirche''. Now that one is really spectacular. Holy shit. Excuse my language but really…it's beyond amazing. I didn't go in though because I thought that eight euros for church entrance is proposterous. Aren't gods doors open for everyone? So I was like ''no thank you'' and just admired it from the outside. It has a great fountain and food trucks in front of it and it just so happened that it was the street art week and there were all kinds of artists all around, like drawing on the side walk, preforming arts, musicians, you name it it was there.
There was also some amazing food included. When I'm on the go in another city I just hate wasting time in a restaurant and also money and also nerves, being vegetarian and all, so instead I tried a few different types of street food, affordable and so good, Asian, Arabic, Turkish, Greek. Crazy good. And to top it all, Donkin Donuts and Starbucks….I know I know don't judge me. But guys pumpkin spice latte? I tried it for the first time because they literally never had it before and I thought I died on the spot. It's amazing how good that is. And would you believe Starbucks spelled my name correct? What kind of a miracle is that? There was a really sweet barista there, we chatted for a while about random things, he told me I have an ''knee weakening smile''. Made my day to be honest.
One of the highlights of the trip for me, was also the ''butterfly house''. I keep complaining that there are NO butterflies back home and that's totally true, I haven't seen one in forever so actually seeing a ton of different ones was amazing. Though you know me, I am sceptical about ''trapped'' animals when they should be free, but it looks like they have a great living space there. You walk into this tropical ( very hot, I don't recommend it in the summer ) house with plants, water fall, tunnels, it's small but great. Butterflies fly around your head, if you're lucky they'd fly on your hand or head as it happened to a Russian tourist walking in front of me, hah, he kept walking and the butterfly just sat on his head. Histerical.

Different butterflies sit on flowers centimeters away, you can take amazing pictures and just admire them because they are absolutely beautiful, specially this blue one, but good luck catching that one, they don't sit still at all. I walked around two times despite the heat because I just loved it there.
Now you know me, priorities and such. Since I was really thirsty and tired after I of course decided to run to the first bar I see. That didn't happen. Priorities made me walk quite a distance to find the Hard Rock. Where else would you expect me to drink? 100 % of the profits from the drinks that day were donated to a charity organisation helping buy instruments for kids all over the world, and I opted for trying out a local kind of beer that the waiter recommend it. It was really good btw. Anyways, of course this is just the place for me, did I mention I took a photo on an amazing red and silver throne? Or that they have Bruce Springsteen stage worn shirt? As well as Freddie Mercurys entire outfit, Ozzy Osbournes boots, Richie Samboras guitar and Nikkis bass? Like Nikki Sixx actually played that bass! Holy shit. There's more of course like Kiss, Coldplay, Slayer etc…
And the staff is the nicest, sweetest, kindest staff you could hope to meet. From the restaurant to the shop everyone is super helpful and friendly. Before leaving I sit down on another huge sofa posing for a picture and the same waiter that helped us pick a drink smiled and I tell him he can join me anytime and he's like ''I'm not actually allowed at work'' so I'm like ''shame, maybe after work then'' and he just sighs, smiles, calls over his friend I was eyeing the entire time and they sit next to me for a picture. Can I say my heart stopped for a few seconds? Hah. Felt very diva like in that moment.
After the Hard rock ( I'm like literhally craving on going back just for the Hard rock lol ) I ended up in the ''Haus des meeres'' which in theory is an aquarium but so much more. Expensive as hell so be ready for that, two tickets almost 40 euros. I've been in the aquarium before but decided to go again because they did a lot of renovation and opened up a short tunnel. I love those. Nothing like the one in Barcelona but still really neat.
The funny part is that the best part of the aquarium are not fish at all. They have a ''tropical room'' or something like that, not because of the temparature it's not that hot at all but tropical due to exotic animals. There's little monkeys that run around, pretty much over your shoulders, close enough to touch, though you know, they can bite so touching might not be the best idea, hah, but they're close enough to do it. Super cute, super into posing so you really can take the best pics in there. There's also all kinds of birds, turtles, huge crocs and of course bats ( super cute bats nibbling on carrots oh my gosh ).

The aquarium has eleven floors, others consist of different types of fish, frogs, snakes, lizards, unfortunally spiders as well but luckily there's only a few of those. They have a giant and I do mean giant anaconda. Now I am not fond of snakes, like at all, but that one was gorgeous. As long as it's behind the glass mind you. I stuck my hand in a fish tank ( it's allowed no worries hah ) with these special fish types that people use to clean your hands, feet, nails. Such a funny feeling, tiny fish nibbling at your hands, it tickles nothing more but it's so funny. Just so you know though, my hands felt incredibly clean and soft after.
There's also a huge huge tank, top to bottom spread over almost three floors with fish, sharks, and other animals but what I love in there is a turtle. A really really big turtle. I was lucky enough that it took a little swim around it rather then just sit at the bottom and let me tell you something, it's the size of a small car. Amazing.
When you get to the top there's a deck with a view to die for. Though it's breathtaking it's a bit overwhelming too. For as far as your eyes can see it's nothing but houses and concrete. Being from where I am, I miss the parks, the trees, the forests, the green scenery to be fair. It's beautiful but…so much cement. Though in the far distance there's some hills as well. I don't know how long I was in the aquarium but had to be a long time since it was almost closing time when I left.

It's hard to say what I was most looking forward to or what I was most excited to see because there's so much to do in Vienna but one of the things was definatelly Prater park ( you know me huge Komissar Rex fan ) and of course Madam Tussauds. Yes again. The first time I was there was so much fun that I just had to go again. The tickets will seriously kill your budget, unless you buy them online but it's worth it because it's just too much fun. And so much has changed since I was there last, like seriously guys even the wax figures changed clothes, no joke. But then again all that I needed to see was that they added Benedict Cumberbatch to the collection and I was sold.
The paparazzi running around that I loved so much the last time was gone though so that sucked but it was still a great experience. Posing with your favorite stars? Uh yes please. Of course if they were actually alive it would be so much better but hey I'll take what I can get. They have important people from sports ( that I don't even know hah ), politics, arts, history, Obama even, and a ton of musicians and movie stars. Like the entire One direction and they are literally the first thing you see after walking to a different floor. Yes, I took a picture with them, or two, or three, hey don't judge me. Aparently I also became the American president for a few seconds, a news reporter, got thrown in jail with Mandela, I was a violin player, a keyboard player, a crazy drummer with pink hair and most important, Johnny Depps new wife. Hah. Shut up a girl can dream.

GUYS! They have Elvis Presley! I shrieked a little bit. And Johnny is so gorgeous. Sigh. Not for sale though. Yep literally I asked. Hah. Again, a girl can dream. The store at the museum is also amazing, all the little items that have are so cute and also most important, LGBT post cards. No joke, rainbow post cards, cards with cute sayings how love knows no gender etc. No I didn't buy one of each at all. Come on I just love how they love and don't judge.
Prater changed and expanded since I was last there as well, like 1000000 % no joke. It's huge. The amusement park used to have what a few rides and the huge ferris wheel. But now? OH MY GOD. The attractions? Anything you possibly want, hounted houses, Jack the Rippers house, Psycho hotel with It painted at the side, those scary tunnels, wild west, dinosaurs, like Jurassic park type thing, so many different bumper cars, things that really spike up your adrenaline…there was one that made me sick just looking at it. Sooooo high. And I mean getting up there aint so bad, the problem is that it goes down. And by goes down I mean falls down, fast. I'm not brave enough to go but I imagine that the view must be amazing.
There's of course roller coasters, pretty much any type of food you'd want from popcorn, cotton candy, chocolate covered fruit, caramel apples. All delicious mind you. And obviously different types of stands with games where you can win prizes or make your boyfriend win you the biggest stuffed unicorn possible. You feel me ladies right?
It's an amazing park but if you wander in be ready to stay for the entire day because it's just…wild, so colorful and interesting and each time you cut a corner something new will draw you in. I thought I'll be in an out in like two hours tops, ended up staying the entire day. Amazing place to get lost in for a few hours and forget about the world.
And of course it was also ( finally ) time to actually see the bloody river. Danube I mean of course. In the strict city center I'm always in you won't see it. So I took a little U bahn drive to the river bank. The ''neue Donau'' as they call it. The river is split, a smaller part runs around the huge wide river and it's made for swimming, water sports and such, cleaner and nicer. Did I cross my wish of the bucket list ''swimming naked in the Donau''? what do you think? Even if that was meant to be in the middle of Budapest but I guess I don't feel like getting arrested. Hah. It's a welcome cool off when it's as hot as the past week was.
I crossed another wish off the bucket list by going to the cemetery. Now that is a whole new different world for me. Did I mention you can drive with a car around it because the damn thing is SO big? Almost 100 000 square meters with over 330 000 graves. Can you imagine that? I mean I don't know how big our city center is but I'd imagine it's smaller then this cemetery. They do have about 10 times more ''inhabitants'' then we do anyways.
Oh! Same as home the cemetery is full of crows. I love that and also expect me to be a crazy tourist that never saw a squirel before because I ended up chasing one. There's so many there! Oh my god. Do I remember seeing a squirel home….like ever? No I don't. But gosh she was cute.
Right point. The cemetery is of course important because it's the final resting place of Beethoven. Yes THE Beethoven. I never imagined that I'll actually ever ''see'' him. In a way anyways. He's my favorite classical composer in case you didn't know. In the same small ''island'' of graves you can find; Schubert, Strauss ( that is actually spelled Stravss on the grave? ), Brahms and a dedication to Mozart since he is not actually buried here. There's a mystery around his final resting place as in he was supposed to be buried in an annonymous grave and the location of it is unknown. There's only a vague idea where he ''may be''. I read once that even his wife wasn't sure but instead she relied on cemetery staff to point it out amongst a number of unmarked graves. Fascinating isn't it? One of the biggest composers ever, pretty much lost to the world.

Walking on the cemetery is nice, there's enough shade, a lovely church in the middle of it and graves so spectacular that will take your breath away. Literally things I never imagined possible. A grave of a mayor? My god. Crazy. But unfortunally for me not many angels like there are in New Orleans.
Now as my days here are running out ( all good things must end right? ) I'm taking it easy, fashion week is starting, not that I'm into fashion at all but ''when in Rome'' right? Doing a little shopping, also in my favorite and far too expensive shop called the Rattlesnake. The very place where I met All time low and got a high five from Jack. Sigh. Good times.
I miss the ocean to be fair, lying on the beach, but then again, this type of vacation, culture, museums, art, shopping, big city vibe is more me anyways. Getting away from it all back home felt amazing and going back home into the drama and nightmare will be heartbreaking but whats gotta be done and all that…
Vienna you were gorgeous thank you for the memories, I love you so much, till next time.

The Wrecking Ball tour

Maybe love letters to bands is what I'm supposed to be doing on this blog. I tried traveling and lifestyle and makeup you know the works, didn't end up so well. Maybe I could write a whole rant about this new shampoo I tried this month and believe me it's beyond amazing. But who the hell cares about my hair? Even I don't most days so why should you? This was one of the things behind the reason of todays blog...
Here's a warning, I'm going to sit here, chew on my favorite chocolate cookies and whine about how much I love Bruce Springsteen. But first! I got an email recently from this woman, at least I think it was a woman, giving me a full blown rant about how it boggles her mind that millenials love Bruce, if there's nostalgia for a time we didn't live in behind it and that at the end of the day when stripped bare he is nothing but an awerage singer nobody would think twice to listen. Listen bitch, here's my reply to that statment, goest thou to hell, and swiftly please, and there may Azmodaeus himself suckle from your diseased teat. There.
Now back to Bruce. I could sit here and list you at least 50 reasons why he's the most amazing man on the face of this earth, but I have a feeling you don't really want to read that. How about just a few? Will you suck it up for a couple? Oh shoot tough luck, you have no choice, I'll still write whatever the hell I want to write. Sorry.
Looks aside *I always found him to be a handsome man* he is extremly humble. Do you know the album ''We are the world'' that was originally started by Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder? Cute story, when most of the celebs on that album showed up in Limo's, Bruce came in his old pickup truck, parked it across the street and paid for parking. I know it doesn't seem like a huge deal but really it is. He has every right to act like a spoiled celeb but he just isn't like that.
The music. The music is not shallow or superficial, Bruce writes about things that matter to him, tradgedies, love, politics, changes in the world. His music is passionate and the fact that he sings it with so much emotion makes you feel it too. Streets of Philadelphia was one of the first movies that showed AIDS as a serious disease, as opposed to something ''outcasts'' had, like leprosy was pictured before that. Bruce wrote the title song, and it was from a first person account of a man with this disease. The song won an Academy award, a Golden globe and ''a few'' Grammys. Follwed was the album titled ''The Rising'' which was made to help the nation and possibly himself to heal and get back up on their feet after the 9/11 attacks. He himself decided to reach out to the people and help them, so much more to his home because there were people personally affected in New Jersey. What really struck me as an amazing gesture was that at the time he even sang at a funeral of one of his fans. I just find it amazing, the level of compassion and care he has.
I love him for never being quiet. I love him for standing up to what he feels is right. I loved him in Australia when he said he's embarrassed to be an American following Trumps win. I loved him when he taunted him with the song ''Don't hang up'' following Trumps childish behavior. And I loved him even more when he said ''Fuck Donald Trump'' on stage. Or better yet read it from a copy of the constitution someone threw on stage. I never heard him curse before so this...this was something. He's not the type to sit down and shut up, back in 2000 he wrote a song ''41 Shots'' about a man, an immigrant that was shot 41 times by the cops. I believe he angered quite a few police officers then even though the song itself wasn't a hateful song, all he did was show compassion towards the man that was killed. Though in that same year he donated a large sum of money to a woman who was left alone with three kids over night after her husband a police officer was killed. He's an amazing man. So many artists can and will turn a blind eye to issues such as these *coughkanyewestcough* but not him. Compassion is something we could all learn from him.
I absolutely adore him for all the effort he puts into making life better for the gay and LGBT community. I adored him even more after the cancelled North Carolina concert. I was so proud being his fan then and I still am today. Here's a quote by him, after the cancelled show;
“North Carolina cancelled: As you, my fans, know I’m scheduled to play in Greensboro, North Carolina this Sunday. As we also know, North Carolina has just passed HB2, which the media are referring to as the “bathroom” law. HB2 — known officially as the Public Facilities Privacy and Security Act — dictates which bathrooms transgender people are permitted to use. Just as important, the law also attacks the rights of LGBT citizens to sue when their human rights are violated in the workplace. No other group of North Carolinians faces such a burden. To my mind, it’s an attempt by people who cannot stand the progress our country has made in recognizing the human rights of all of our citizens to overturn that progress. Right now, there are many groups, businesses, and individuals in North Carolina working to oppose and overcome these negative developments. Taking all of this into account, I feel that this is a time for me and the band to show solidarity for those freedom fighters. As a result, and with deepest apologies to our dedicated fans in Greensboro, we have canceled our show scheduled for Sunday, April 10. Some things are more important than a rock show and this fight against prejudice and bigotry — which is happening as I write — is one of them. It is the strongest means I have for raising my voice in opposition to those who continue to push us backwards instead of forwards.”
Here's the deal, Bruce is an amazing storyteller, his songs are stories, you can sit in a dark room and imagine he's sitting next to you telling you a story while listening to his voice. There's just so much compassion and emotion in his voice, it gives me shivers all over. Jon Stewart once said ''Bruce doesn’t sing, he testifies'', and also ''When you listen to his music, you aren’t a loser. You are a character in an epic poem… about losers.''. Made me laugh out loud.
I love the always and never serious persona he has, I love the way he knows just how to mock church and christianity, I loved it when he was asked to preform at the catholic school he attended and he made the priest leave the show by singing ''Red headed woman''. I love those silly stupid dirty jokes. I love his dedication to fans, he's going to stand on stage and preform for almost 4 hours making sure the fans get their money's worth for the tickets. I love that he dances with fans, I love that he does sign requests. I love the fact that his shows are never the same, he changes his setlist every night and doesn't give a flying fuck about it. The laugh! That laugh. Infectious.
That was more then a few wasn't it? Sorry, got carried away I suppose. I actually wanted to write about the first time I saw him live because that was...I can hardly even find words for it. It was in Vienna Austria and I was there about a week before the show. Basically on vacation with the ''highlight'' his show. I was beyond nervous the entire week. Kept busy with museums, art galleries and the wax museum which was SO much fun, but the anticipation was killing me. On the morning of the show, I was up at 6 am, pacing up and down the hotel room, driving everyone insane, freaking out at the near thought of ''oh my god, Boss and I are breathing the same air right now and looking at the same sky''. Silly me, we always do that but being in the same country, well that's what made the difference.
By some miracle I didn't rub my eyes with nail polish remover or put salt in my coffee. I did chug a beer before the show though. Cute story. I had a shirt on saying ''I am lost, return me to Jon Bon Jovi'' and I walk by this pub and this man, from Belfast of all places yells after me ''but I don't know where Jon is'' and I'm like ''drinking a beer with Bruce in New Jersey'' and he goes ''Can't Boss is here'' and I'm like ''we'll see that tonight won't we?''. His face was priceless. Of course I was just joking, so then he asks me to sit down, he said he's no Bon Jovi but he'll buy me a beer if I want. So I sat down, we got talking, do note that the accent is a proper bitch, had to make him speak proper English to understand half of what he was saying. It was fun though, we still stay in touch with a couple of emails now and again. He was a bit older then me, huge fan of the Boss, so no wonder we clicked.
After that we went to the venue together, short walk to the subway and two wrong trains later we were at the stadium. Here's the nerves, I know Vienna almost better then my own city, and I know the damn subway yet I went to the wrong train. Twice! God damn nerves.
Waiting for the stadium to open was actually super fun. I met so many amazing people, people that came from all over the world just to see the Boss preform in Europe. I always found that both insane and totally cool. Lord knows if money wasn't an issue I'd see him at least 5 times on one tour. One show is never enough.
Though the Boss was a little late, powdering his nose and getting into his skinny jeans no doubt, he came on the stage saying ''Servus, Wien!'' and that's all he really needed to win the crowd over. He has this amazing energy with the fans, whatever he says goes, it's incredible. The show was sold out in minutes and lasted 3 hours and 41 minutes which was longer then the allowed time. Which was also a record, no musician before him has had a show last this long at the Ernst Happel stadium. The show opened with the song ''We take care of our own'' and closed with ''Twist and shout''. It has always been a dream of mine to see him preform that song live with Paul McCartney. *Sigh* maybe someday.
Here's the fun part. The authorities turned the lights off and said that the show is over at 11 pm sharp. Never hated the police more in my life, yet the Boss and the band didn't care and just carried on rocking, maybe even teasing a bit because at the end they just did a cover and made it as long as possible. All together there were 31 songs, new, old, and even rarely heard ''Spirit in the night''. Before the song started, he gave an emotional speech about ''spirits'' people that we lost and that we miss but are always close to us, they never really leave us. It was just...you know...made me go into a full blown fountain mode. There were of course, Dancing in the dark, Hungry heart, Born in the USA. That last one was especially amazing, the entire venue stood up, everyone in the sitting area, screamed those lyrics with him and danced along to Twist and shout. I get goose bumps all over just thinking about that moment.
Of course I was gritting my teeth, sitting in the sitting area with an amazing view but I thought I'd fly over the railing and crowd surf to the stage when he was shaking hands and touching the fans. I can hear my mother saying ''What good would that give you? So you touched him, big deal?''. Uh no mother, touching the Boss? That's different, I'd feel like I touched God. I want to know how that feels like. Don't even get me started on the girl that got to dance with him or the little boy that got to sing with him. Jealousy aint pretty I know and if it could burn I'd burn the entire bloody city down at that very moment. I said to myself next time. Didn't happen. So here I am saying this once again. Next time. And I will settle for nothing less then front row.
The Wrecking Ball tour was different, the vibe, the songs, the album is different. He was angry, angry at the politics, angry at America's current situation. Poor baby, didn't know 5 years ago just how bad it's about to get. But it's those feelings that gave the most amazing album. I love it from start to finish, every line and every note, hands down one of my favorite albums ever made. Oh! OH! Have I told you how I ended up entertaining the people around me more then the Boss himself? I was basically a kid back then. I mean not a kid but a teenager, I'd lie if I said there were plenty same aged people around. Mostly older people came to the show. Rather obvious aint it? Anyways those people around me enjoyed my screaming tantrums when he was walking around touching the fans far more then what the Boss was doing. A man next to me couldn't stop laughing the entire time, even asked me for a picture after the show. We took one together while debating that we need to find at least one person from the front row, to tell us in excrushiating detail what's it like to touch God. That never happened by the way.
At the end of the day, this wasn't just a concert it was an experience. Unlike any other. I wouldn't trade it for the world. There are so many things about the Boss I adore, so many political views that I share, so much power that inspires me. He inspires me so much. He gives me strenght to fight and carry on even when the times get tough. I completly and totally adore him and seeing him for that first time felt completly out of this world. The second concert was amazing as well but nothing compares to the ''first time'' aye? You never forget your firsts they say and this is surely something I won't ever forget.
To end this post I'd like to share a quote by Barack Obama...
“It's no wonder that his tours are not so much concerts, but communions. There's a place for everybody -— the sense that no matter who you are or what you do, everyone deserves their shot at the American Dream; everybody deserves a little bit of dignity; everybody deserves to be heard. I've seen it myself. Bruce was a great fan -- a great friend over the last year, and when I watched him on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial when he rocked the National Mall before my inauguration, I thought it captured as well as anything the spirit of what America should be about. On a day like that, and today, I remember: I'm the President, but he's The Boss.”
And aint that the truth? Enjoy the weekend guys, love eachother, think with your own heads and stay safe.
